Whether we have to consider the rank which is given along with the mark in jee main or is there a seperate rank is displayed during josaa counciling

No separate ranks will be allotted for JOSAA process specifically.

Marks and Rank secured during a candidate's JEE- Advanced or JEE-Mains will only be considered during the counselling process.

After registration and filling up of preferences for colleges by a candidate, the authorities release mock allocation lists before the actual allocations. You will have to upload all your eligibility documents (results, Score card, etc.) to become a part of the process.

The allocation lists will be made based on your JEE rank and availability of seats against merit, preferences and reservations.

First of all, you have a unique rank.
And josaa uses the rank same as jee mains rank, because during registration josaa you have provided credentials. Now in josaa counselling, you will be alloted seat on your general or category rank.
If you got alloted any seat in josaa counselling, then there will be a section of alloted category and rank used for allotment.
Then this means that your jee mains category rank or your general rank will be used during josaa counseling. If you belong from any category then you category rank will be used for allotment of seats.
So, there is no separate ranks in josaa counseling, it is same as that of jee mains rank.
