For Physics, HC Verma is pure gem, if you can understand it. However, it is bit difficult and more suitable for IIT. Medical aspirants can use it for reference.
For Chemistry, OP Tandon is the gold standard, especially for organic chemistry. However, again , they are more suitable for IITs. Use it only for reference.
Remember, the more you practice questions, more are the chances of getting a seat. Therefore try to solve problems like previous years question papers, Mock tests etc.

I would suggest you to read dinesh/universal/pradeep/modern abc or any other book of your choice for practising..
Please don't run towards many books.
