Hello Rahul,Greetings from Careers360.com!
First of all, begin with the NCERT's. They form the building blocks for your preparation. Then go for the standard books like Indian Polity by Laxmikanth, History of indaian independence by Bipin Chandra ,Shankar Ias-Environment book. At the end of the day, whichever you buy it must satisfy the syllabus of the exam and cater to its needs. Also it is important to practise by taking mock tests too.
Hope this helped.All the best!
