There is no one word answer to your question, the reason being our generation is comprised of many individuals with different taste in terms of preference for career and education, though engineering and medical which were once upon a time were considered great professions, to a large extent the path is still being followed, yes we can argue about the type of education that's not the same in every institute in terms of syllabus, infrastructure, faculty and all, but I would say our generation have learned to take risk, a decade or two back there were only talk of security and money, but this generation has got immense entrepreneurial spirit, and some of the best outcomes have been through cumulative efforts of people, anyway it depends on the area of interests, skills, aptitude, and a lot of other factors when it comes to deciding a career, so it's an individual choice.
