You can join in some best engineering colleges by taking CET. With that rank, ENginering colleges will provide you a seat in 2nd year Mechanical Field. After that if you can manage in core comapnies interview you'll get minimum 4LPA this is according to our locality but beyond that that salary package will increase.

ANd also if you don't want to get any job and want to do MTECH, you need to take GATE exam. If you'll get good rank in that the government companies will give job directly.

You shoukd go for fulltime btech degree into Mechanical engineering.

It has very good job prospects if done from IIT and NIT and top colleges.
You can also take up Mtech aftecf Graduation, or MbA into operations for management roles.

Some top roles you can target after Btech are into Automobiles, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Metallurgy, Oiland Gas, Shipping, E-commerce sectors.

Average package is 6-9LPa at all top IIt and NiTs.
One has wonderful scope after MbA in operations which is regarded for Mechanical Engineering grads.

One can find Opportunities into vendor and contract management, project management, supply chain and Logistics, procurement and Bid Management post MBA.
