There is no such separate engineering programme like Software Engineering. Software Engineering, sodtware designing, coding and programing are taught as a part of curriculum in Computer Science. So if you want to become a software engineer, then you need to pursue B.Tech in Computer Scienece (CS). As Computer Science is the most popular engineering branch, the salary packages are quite good and lucrative. However, it also depends on many factors like the institute from where you pursue it and the companies which come for campus recruitment at these instituites and where all does a candidate apply for recruitment individually.
