To become an air hostess, the aspirant should have completed 10+2 education in any stream or an undergraduate degree in aviation.
The minimum age limit for applying for the course is 17 years and the upper age limit is 26 years. The candidate should be a minimum of five foot and two inches tall in height. The candidate should be unmarried at the time of applying for the course . The candidate must have 6/6 vision . The candidate must be physically fit with a pleasing personality.
Air Hostess Courses in India
There are three main types of Air Hostess courses available in India which are Certificate courses, Diploma courses and Degree courses. The course curriculum includes the management skills, emergency management, hospitality management, navigation skills, basic fundamental knowledge of aircraft and catering training.
Certificate Courses - Certificate courses can be pursued by the candidates after completing their 10+2 standard schooling. Some PG certificate courses also exist. The course duration and content may vary from one institute to another. Fast track certificate courses last for a period of 3 months. General certificate course lasts for a period of 6 months to 1 year.
Diploma Courses - Air Hostess diploma courses can be pursued right after 12th. There also exists some PG Diploma courses, which may be pursued after completing graduation. Diploma courses are also designed and crafted by individual institutes. The course duration may vary from one institute to another. The general course duration is 6- 12 months.
Degree Courses - Among all these three types of courses, the degree course pursued by the candidates in the aviation field holds the significant value. Typical degree course lasts for a period of 3 years. There also exists 2 years long special degree courses, which have been designed keeping the trade of air hostess and aviation hospitality in mind.
