which nit can I get in 55000 rank in general category
Hey,
We all know that without officially released JEE MAIN cut-off marks of this year for all top instituions in India by NTA (National Testing Agency), we can't make any accurate statement about the precise cut-off marks of any NIT. So we have to check the previous year's cut-off details in this regard.
Since you're a General-UR aspirant, so as per our assumption and previous year's details it can be atleast estimated that with this performance you don't have any kind of possibility to get admission in NIT (except NIT Sikkim and NIT Srinagar ) through 15% AIQ.
However you don't have mentioned your State in your question. So it's quite difficult for us to make any decision regarding your admission possibilities through 85% Home State quota.
Hence I want to recommend you to go through the following articles to get a detailed-oriented description in this context:

You can also predict your admission chances in your preferable institutions in JoSAA Counselling through the Careers360 JEE MAIN college predictor tool:

Hope these informations and above links would be quite helpful for you.
Wish you all the best !!
