I feel like both the colleges are nearly equivalent.
But Thapar Institute has a slight edge over IBS in some areas.
Thapar has been there in the industry for almost 6 decades,

The MBA options at Thapar are greater & they all are core choices

Thapar has tie ups with some International uni's for Semester exchange & guest lectures happening often.

Placements at Thapar is also a very friction free process, The placement cell provides the student with all the necessary tools & information to face and score the job interview.

The Thapar campus is also a plus point. Away from the hustles of Gurugram traffic & noise.

Thapar has a long list on companies visiting them for campus placements. Starting form Amazon, Phillips, Flipkart, Ebay, Mahindra, Tata, ICICI, HDFC, Airtel, Reliance, Microsoft, Some prominent Startups Like OYO, CarDhekho, etc.

IBS Gurgaon is a better college as compared to LM Thapar School of Management in terms of exposure, placements. Also, if compared in context of brand name, IBS Gurgaon is better.

Companies that visit IBS Gurgaon for recruiting candidates include Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd., HDFC Bank, Ernst & Young, Indusind Bank, ICICI Bank, HCL Technologies, Deloitte Tax Services, ICICI Securities, Amazon.

Companies that visit LM Thapar School of Management include Kellogge's, Nestle, Hyundai, Reliance, etc.
