Which type of questions coming in there exam

For MTech (or MSc or MEngg as it is more widely known as in other countries), you will need to give the GRE General exam. You will also need to give an English language proficiency test ( IELTS Academic, TOEFL iBT or PTE Academic).

The GRE General exam has multiple choice type questions divided into two categories:

• Verbal Reasoning
• Quantitative Reasoning

There is also a writing section which is scored separately and is known as Analytical Writing Analysis. In this section, you will need to write two essays which will be scored on a 0-6 point scale.

The overall GRE score is in the range of 260-340. A score of 320+ is desired by all the top universities. If you are thinking of applying to a highly competitive program, then you can also give the GRE subject test in Mathematics and/or Physics to further prove your suitability for the program.
