why 12 mark sheet is demanded while applying for any job, in 10 case they ask for verifying dob, but 12 why, I'm not asking for college, but for job.

It is company procedure and rule at the time of joining .12th marksheet is mandatory because they wants to verify it is genuine or fake and because now days so many fake certificates are issue by different aspirants so they wants to recheck everything or we can say that it is one kind of background verification .
According to company prospective it is most important before joining any companies .
