why is josaa cutoff for B.Arch so high this year?
Answer (1)
Mousumi, the cutoffs depend on various factors like number of candidates appeared for the examination, difficulty of paper, availability of seats, highest score obtained etc. Now through JoSAA, seats of NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and IITs are fiiled. Not all the NITs offer B.Arch so there are very limited number of seats. If you go through last years data, then you'll see that within almost 3000 rank the seats for B.Arch were filled in NITs for general category. Because of this limited number of seats and high competition the cutoffs are usually high. Now this year, there are increment in seats so in that case the cutoffs may get lowered. But it also depends on other factors as well. So it is quite difficult to predict. To get the complete list of colleges that you can get based on your rank use this link
