Will a college give first preference to ECM branch in regard to job placements?

To be honest, most engineers will end up joining IT companies irrespective of their branch. So, this question is largely irrelevant. However, students from ECM have an inherent advantage in terms of coding. Since students from ECM have computer science subjects, they end up doing well in placement drives of IT companies. In fact, in my college ECM(my branch) has the highest number of job offers and placements beating even CSE and IT.

Foreign Opportunities:

ECM—> Most universities abroad have this branch. So, ECM has decent opportunities.

ECE→ Even they have good opportunities.
