Will metallurgy comes under other streams of mechanical?
Hello there!
Greetings!
Metallurgy is a different branch but yes obviously not a core branch. It is may be called as a sub branch of Mechanical.
It is a more narrowed branch of Mechanical Engineering. But their are certainly core companies who like to take Metallurgy based Engineers over Mechanical.
The three main branches of Metallurgical Engineering Course are physical metallurgy , extractive metallurgy and mineral processing. Physical metallurgy deals with problem solving i.e. development of metallic alloys needed for different types of manufacturing and construction.
thankyou
Dear aspirant, metallurgy is a sub branch of mechanical engineering as it mainly deals with the study of metals or alloys whearas in mechanical engineering you go through every machine as study about it but in metallurgy there is deep knowledge and study about metals only.
Hope it helps,
All the best:)
