Hello aspirant.
As per your question,hence you are general category student, you can hope for some good NITs not best NITs. You can try IIIT, BITS and some deemed universities which provide better placements. If you aim for research then go for NIT that you will be able to get. If you are comfortable with any branch then you may get good NITs also.
