You have not mentioned which category you belong to. Of it is general or obc category, then the chances of procuring a seat in IHM been is very less. Last year, the closing ranks for IHM Bengaluru was around 1,500 in the general category. But you can get other central government IHM's in the first round. Also, one thing to keep in mind is that scores and ranks vary each year with difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats.
