Would studying in IITs be helpful in cracking UPSC?
Hello JP,
Studying in IIT won’t help you in cracking UPSC. Being an IITian myself, the things students mainly focus upon here is coding and technology related activities. There are always exceptions. However, it is also an accepted fact that IITians qualify and secure good ranks in UPSC as well. This is as a consequence of the fact that most of the IITians who prepare for UPSC have an edge over others in terms of intelligence as they have graduated from top-notch institute of the country.
Hope this helps.
Hello JP,
It is not any hard and fast rule that only IIT will help you crack UPSC exams. There are other reputed colleges also from where the students crack the exam. Studying in IIT would be beneficiary as it is one of the top institutes in India and will provide you a base in preparing. It solely depends on you, how you prepare and where you want to prepare. UPSC just demands a bachelors degree be it from any IIT or some other college.
All the best.
