BIT Patna Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

BIT Patna offers accommodation facilities for students. The college has separate hostels for boys and girls.

Birla Institute of Technology has a separate hostel for girls with all required amenities.

The institution has a dispensary that is attended by the doctors. The college also has a small medical store that is equipped with necessary medicines and medical kits for students in case of any emergencies.

The college has Gym facility for the students.

BIT Patna library is considered as a knowledge hub that is easily accessible by those who are associated with the institution including faculty members. The library’s collection comprises hybrid resources (print & electronic) in the filed of science and technology, engineering and management. BIT Patna library also has a separate internet section.  All the activities of the central library are automated through library software called “LIBSYS” and also extended the scope of various services like CD-ROM database search, OPAC and web-based OPAC.

The college offers facilities for extracurricular activities. Apart from ensuring the physical well being students, the college also encourages students to participate in more and more sports activities and competitions.

BIT Patna has an equipped Computer Lab that serves as an integral part of the infrastructure. The labs extend services to students and faculty that are engaged in the research activities. The Computer Lab provides the support for them to have a hands-on feel of what they learn in the classrooms and enhance their computer skills.

Birla Institute of Technology Patna has a cafeteria that offers a variety of nutritious as well as delicious food items to students and staff.

A well equipped auditorium is there in BIT Patna to organise the major events of the institution.

BIT Patna has its own buses for arranging various trips to the local places. At the time of vacation and campus placements, special arrangements are made by the institute to pick and drop the students.

The institute takes immense pleasure to organise different Alumni activities including Alumni Reunions of different batches comprising about 50000 alumnus inviting them back to their alma matter. Alumni Relation Group (ARG) has been formed by the institute, which consists of Deans, HoDs and senior officials. The Group is responsible to initiate necessary action to organise Alumni Reunions of different batches.

The college has Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.

Keeping in mind the contemporary developments, the institute has well-equipped laboratories. All the labs are equipped with modern sophisticated instruments. The students are given exposure through labs like Fluid Mechanics Laboratory, Soil Mechanics Laboratory, The strength of Materials Laboratory, Hydraulics & Hydraulic M/c Laboratory Highway Engineering etc.

Thee institute has an ATM of Punjab National Bank located in the administrative building. Students can withdraw their money as per the requirements.
