Eligibility Criteria
10+2 level (Karnataka PUC, ISCE, CBSE, NIOS, other State Boards), and any recognised bodies in India. It is compulsory to have studied any two subjects – Biology (Botany/Zoology), Chemistry and Biotechnology, at the Class 12th Level.
Candidates writing the +2 examinations in March-May 2026 may apply with their class X and XI marks.
Students pursuing International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations:
Applicants pursuing IB curriculum must have 3 HL and 3 SL with 24 credits.
Applicants pursuing GCE / Edexcel must have a minimum of 3 A levels with a grade not less than C.
A candidate who has passed the two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by the Pre-University Education Board in Karnataka, or any other examination considered equal thereto. Generally, a candidate to opt for a subject should have studied that subject at the qualifying examination. Additional conditions of eligibility required for specific subjects are as follows:
a. Candidates to opt for Biochemistry should have studied that subject or Chemistry at the qualifying examination.
b. Candidates to opt for Biotechnology, Microbiology, or Zoology should have studied that subject or Biology at the qualifying examination.
c. Candidates to opt for Physics should have studied Mathematics in addition to Physics at the qualifying examination.
d. Candidates to opt for Statistics should have studied that subject or Mathematics at the qualifying examination.
