Maharashtra Academy of Naval Education and Training (MANET) selection process will test candidates on each of the above parameters by taking into account a candidate’s 10+2 PCM marks, the result of the MANET entrance exam: PERA- rank, performance in an interview, and satisfactory medical tests.

1. Having Passport at the time of admission is mandatory.
2. Qualifying IMU CET/State level Engineering Entrance Exam/JEE (with more than 40 Percentile) is mandatory for First Year B. Tech Marine Engineering, B.Sc. Nautical Science admission and Diploma in Nautical Science.
3. For the Academic Year-2025, 5% relaxation in PCM marks at the 12th Std. Board Level for SC/ST Candidates for Admission into Pre-Sea courses (B.Tech / B.Sc). For DGS Circular,

Academic Qualifications

The candidate must have successfully completed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent with:

• At least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and
• At least 50% marks in English either in Class X or Class XII.

Age

Candidates less than 25 years of age as on 1st of August in the year of admission will be eligible to apply. The date of birth as recorded on the applicants School Leaving Certificate will be considered for this purpose.

1. The maximum age limit for candidates belonging to "Scheduled Cast"(SC) / "Scheduled Tribe" (ST) Category shall be relaxed by 5 years.
2. The maximum age limit for candidates belonging to No-Creamy layer of "Other Backward Classes" (OBC) Category shall be relaxed by 3 Years
3. The maximum age limit for women candidates of each category shall be relaxed by additional 2 years.

Not less than 17 years & not more than 20 years

Results should be obtained on the FIRST ATTEMPT from Regular Boards only (Class XII):

• Minimum aggregate- 60%
• Minimum PCM aggregate - 60%
• Minimum score in Physics & Maths individually - 50% 
• Minimum aggregate for Physics & Maths - 60%
• Candidate should have appeared for all subjects in the improvement tests from the same board as the previous attempt (Physics, Chemistry, Maths)
• English shall be one of the subjects with a minimum score of 50% in Class X or XII
