Admission Details

The examinations through which candidates can get admission to the B.Tech Programme are JEE Main 2022 (national level exam) & WBJEE (state level examination). JEE Main is managed by the NTA Board for providing admission to the B.Tech & B.Arch Courses.

Valid score/Rank in WBJEE / JEE Main of the current year; For Decentralized Monitored Counseling (against drop out vacancy) conditions remain same except Entrance Rank which is not mandatory (preference will be given to Rank holders).

Eligibility Criteria

The qualification criteria for B.Tech course is 10+2 or its equivalent examination. Candidates should pass the above qualifying exam from a recognized board.
Pass the above examination with 45% marks (40% marks in case of reserved category).
Candidates must qualify 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics & Mathematics subjects & any one of the given subjects, i.e. Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational.

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/Technical Vocational subject, having a valid rank in WBJEE/JEE (Mains).

Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

Lateral Entry- Passed Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology, having a valid rank in WBJELET.

Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.

Provided that the students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall clear the subjects Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the First Year Engineering Programme along with the Second year subjects.

Provided that the students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream.
