Admission Details
Admission of NIT Hamipur is based on the performance in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). There is no need to apply separately to each NIT. Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), constituted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, comprising of the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) and the Joint Admission Board (JAB) conduct and supervise the admission process of candidates to various NITs through centralized online counseling process.
The admission to First Year B.Tech Programmes will be made through the counselling conducted by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University based on the merit of candidates in the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) except for Other State Nominees which are nominated by the Government of India.
Eligibility Criteria
Must have passed class XII (or equivalent) Board examination with a minimum of five subjects and secured at least 75% aggregate marks. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%.
A candidate must have passed an intermediate exam. of U.P. Board or 10+2 level exam. or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University with minimum aggregate marks of 45% for General & OBC and 40% for SC/ST category in the subject groups, without grace marks.
