Admission to PhD Program will be done through PhD Entrance Test followed by interview conducted by JUET Guna. NET/SLET/GATE qualified candidates are exempted from appearing in PhD Entrance Test. However, they will be required to appear for the interview conducted by the respective department. Admission will be offered purely on the basis of PhD Entrance Test Result and/or Interview. The admission will be provisional and subject to production of eligibility certificates and deposition of academic fee.

Admission to the institution is purely based on merit in the UPCET Entrance Examination conducted by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University Lucknow (erstwhile UP Technical University), Uttar Pradesh.

• M. Tech. Degree of a University or equivalent for Ph.D. in Engineering/Technology in respective branch with 60% Aggregate Marks or CGPA not less than 6 on scale of 10.
• Master‟s Degree of a University for Ph. D. in Sciences/ Humanities/ Social Sciences/ Management/ Pharmacy in respective discipline or equivalent with 60% Aggregate marks or CGPA not less than 6 on scale of 10.
• M.C.A. Degree with 60% Aggregate Marks or equivalent CGPA and two years experience for Ph. D. in Computer Science & Engineering/ Information Technology Departments.
• Consistently good academic performance is desirable.

Candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University without grace in required each compulsory subjects and one optional subject as given in clause 3.1 (i) and securing minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST Category candidates) in aggregate in required three subjects.
