Admission Details
The admissions are open to students who or whose parents are domicile of U.P. state only, except for NRI, foreign national / PIO (persons of Indian origin).
To select the candidates for admission in the first year, Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam University Lucknow (A.K.T.U.). conducts examination named State Entrance Examination ( SEE ) Minimum academic qualification to appear in the said exam is a pass out/appearing ( 10+2 ) standard Examination. All the reservations are applicable as per UP government rules and regulations.
The academic qualifications as prescribed in Information Bulletin and Application Form of JEE (Main) Only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in the last two years; or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in the current year are eligible to appear in JEE (Main). Candidates must have taken at least five subjects in Class 12th /qualifying examination in order to be eligible for writing JEE (Main). The candidates who have taken four subjects are not permitted to write JEE (Main) and if such candidates appear in JEE (Main) by furnishing wrong information, their rank/result will not be declared. JAC is following the same eligibility conditions as adopted by Central Counseling board.

Admission to Second Year(for diploma holders or B.Sc Mathematics. only)
Candidates who have passed diploma ( with minimum 60% marks) recognized by the Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education in any branch of Engg./ Tech. or B.Sc from any recognized University except agriculture Engg. are eligible for admission to second year in any branch of Engg./ Tech.
Required Criteria based on Class 12th/Equivalent qualifying examination
1. Language
2. Physics
3. Mathematics
4. Anyone of Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/TechnicalVocational Subject
5. Any other subject. Only those candidates are eligible who have passed class12thwith at least 60% marks in aggregate (55% in case of candidate belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Persons with Disability (PwD)/Backward Class) in the above subjects taken together.
