The academic qualifications as prescribed in Information Bulletin and Application Form of JEE (Main) Only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in the last two years; or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in the current year are eligible to appear in JEE (Main). Candidates must have taken at least five subjects in Class 12th /qualifying examination in order to be eligible for writing JEE (Main). The candidates who have taken four subjects are not permitted to write JEE (Main) and if such candidates appear in JEE (Main) by furnishing wrong information, their rank/result will not be declared. JAC is following the same eligibility conditions as adopted by Central Counseling board.

• The candidate who has passed the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination or JEE (MAIN) Examination in the current year and recommended by Central Selection Committee is eligible for admission.
• Admission through the Lateral Entry Scheme shall be made strictly on the basis of current year merit and the preference of candidates in the Common Entrance Examination for admission through the Lateral Entry Scheme (i.e. JELET) conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board.

Required Criteria based on Class 12th/Equivalent qualifying examination

2. Physics 

3. Mathematics

4. Anyone of Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/TechnicalVocational Subject 

5. Any other subject. Only those candidates are eligible who have passed class12thwith at least 60% marks in aggregate (55% in case of candidate belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Persons with Disability (PwD)/Backward Class) in the above subjects taken together.

The Candidate should pass minimum aggregate of 45 % marks and 45 % marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) in Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.
