The selection of candidates for different programmes happens in two stages and has three components of assessment. All candidates appear for the National entrance test (TISSNET). Based on the performance in the TISSNET examination, only shortlisted candidates are called for the Pre Interview Test and Personal Interview (PIT/PI)

The admission to students is offered through two modes, Direct admission (Category A) and through Entrance Test (Category B).  

• The Candidate must be Bachelor's Degree of minimum of 3 years duration or its equivalent ( under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirements of 15 years formal education) from a recognized university, in any discipline.
• At the time of applying candidates studying in 3-year degree, the programme should have passed in all the subjects for the 1st to 4th semesters and candidates studying in 4-year degree programmes should have passed in all the subjects for 1st to 6th semester.

Category A (Direct Admission):

• B.Com (H) from University of Delhi
• 65% for General Category
• 58.5% for OBC Category
• 60% for Sports, CW and PWD Category
• Minimum passing marks for SC & ST category
• B.Com (Pass) or B.Com (Degree) from University of Delhi
• 70% for General Category
• 63% for OBC Category
• 65% for Sports, CW and PWD Category
• Minimum passing marks for SC & ST category

Category B (Entrance test) (The degrees referred herein shall be from University of Delhi or any other University recognized and  equivalent thereto):

• B.Com (H) and B.A. (Hons.) Economics
• 50% for General Category
• 45% for OBC Category
• 45% for Sports, CW and PWD Category
• B.Com (Pass) or B.Com (Degree)
• 55% for General Category
• 49.5% for OBC Category
• 50% for Sports, CW and PWD Category
• B.B.S., B.B.A., B.I.F.A., and B.B.E.
• 60%for General Category
• 54% for OBC Category
• 55% for Sports,  CW and PWD Category
