Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have passed the three year Bachelor’s degree examination of Bangalore University or any other University considered as equivalent thereto by the Bengaluru Central University, with the respective subject as optional/major/special/main subject, are eligible for admission to the programmes provided they have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate of all the subjects (including English and Languages) and 50% marks in cognate subject or major subject.
a) B.Sc./B.Tech degree in Agriculture/Agricultural Engineering/ Food Technology/ (OR)
b) Any B.Sc. degree with 50% marks in all subjects except English and Language with Mathematics at least at + 2 or PUC level.
Bachelor's Degree in Science with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate of all the three options. The candidate should have studied Chemistry or Biochemistry compulsorily as an optional subject along with at least one of the following optional subjects (a) Microbiology (b) Biotechnology © Botany (d) Applied Botany (e) Zoology (f) Applied Zoology (g) Industrial Microbiology (h) Environmental Science (I)Genetics (j) Applied Genetics (k) Sericulture (l) Home Science (m) Life Science (n) Biological Science.
Students who have passed B.Sc. Biotech./Biotech (integrated) Scored 50% marks in the aggregate provided they have studied Biochemistry as one of the papers. Students who have passed B.Sc. Honors in Biotechnology / Microbiology/Botany/Zoology/Biology are also eligible with 50% marks in aggregate of all the options. The following Graduates are also eligible with 50% marks in aggregate (a) Agricultural Science (b) Dairy Sciences © Horticulture (d) Forestry (e) Fisheries (f) B. Pharmacy and (g) B.E. (Biotechnology).
