Should have studied Mathematics. 2/3 of the seats are reserved for students who have studied Computer Science as a subject in Plus Two, and 1/3 of the seats are for students who have not studied Computer Science in Plus Two.

• Applicants for the degree course should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (XII Std.,) under the 10 plus 2 pattern prevalent in Tamil Nadu or its equivalent from other Universities or Boards.
• Candidates, who pass the All India Senior School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, will be eligible for admission, provided they pass the examination with a minimum of five subjects of which English shall be compulsory. An applicant should provide an eligibility certificate, from the University of Madras at the time of interview.
