The Candidate should appear for the IMU Common Entrance Test and must pass the test.

The MANET CET(MIT-NAT)- will be conducted, candidates will be shortlisted based on marks in PCM, MANET-CET Result, and interview. The selection is also subject to medical fitness per DGS norms.

• 12th Standard pass with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as separate subjects
• PCM Average: Minimum 60% marks
• English Proficiency: Minimum 50% marks in 10th or 12th standard
• Board Recognition: Must be from recognized board

1. Having Passport at the time of admission is mandatory.
2. Qualifying IMU CET/State level Engineering Entrance Exam/JEE (with more than 40 Percentile) is mandatory for First Year B. Tech Marine Engineering, B.Sc. Nautical Science admission and Diploma in Nautical Science.
3. For the Academic Year-2025, 5% relaxation in PCM marks at the 12th Std. Board Level for SC/ST Candidates for Admission into Pre-Sea courses (B.Tech / B.Sc). For DGS Circular
4. Part time or distance learning or correspondence course or any combination of these shall not be considered.

Academic Qualifications

The candidate must have successfully completed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent with:

• At least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and
• At least 50% marks in English either in Class X or Class XII.

Age

Candidates less than 25 years of age as on 1st of August in the year of admission will be eligible to apply. The date of birth as recorded on the applicants School Leaving Certificate will be considered for this purpose.

1. The maximum age limit for candidates belonging to "Scheduled Cast"(SC) / "Scheduled Tribe" (ST) Category shall be relaxed by 5 years.
2. The maximum age limit for candidates belonging to No-Creamy layer of "Other Backward Classes" (OBC) Category shall be relaxed by 3 Years
3. The maximum age limit for women candidates of each category shall be relaxed by additional 2 years.
