Admission on basis of their PCM marks and IMUCET rank will have to appear in the online test. Candidates will be short-listed based on performance in the above-mentioned tests and medical fitness as per DGS norms.

You must have completed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent with:

• At least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (P C M), and
• At least 50% marks in English either in Class X or Class XII.

Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as mandatory subjects from a recognized board.

Minimum Marks:

• 60% aggregate marks in PCM
• 50% marks in English subject in 10+2 examination.

Maximum age:

• For Male: General-25 years, OBC (NCL) - 28 years, SC/ST-30 years.
• For Female: General-27 years, OBC (NCL) - 30 years, SC/ST-32 years.

*The reference date for calculation of the age will be from the date of commencement of the Academic Session (01.08.2024).

Eligibility - Lateral Entry for admission in 2nd Year

3-years Engineering Diploma in Marine/ Mechanical / Electrical / Electrical & Electronics, from the colleges approved by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education with minimum 55% of aggregate marks in the last year of Diploma Course.

OR

4 years Diploma in Shipbuilding Engineering from the colleges approved by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education with minimum 55% aggregate marks in the last year of diploma course.

OR

1st year training from the Alternate Training Scheme, approved by D.G. Shipping (This will not be applicable to MERI).
