Admissions will be based on the rank in the admission test, conducted for the purpose. Selected candidates will have to undergo remedial courses as decided by the University.

The Admission is based on the CUSAT CAT.

The minimum eligibility for SEBC candidates to be considered under reservation quota (belonging to Kerala State) for admission to B. Tech is 45% for Mathematics and 45% for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together in the qualifying examination. Of the total seats for B.Tech. (Self-financing) 50% are free seats, 40% payment and 10% are NRI payment seats.

The candidate should have Passed in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by Board of Higher Secondary Examinations, Government of Kerala OR Senior School Certificate Examination conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education OR Indian School Certificate Examination, (Class XII) conducted by Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi OR any other examination accepted as equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects securing a separate minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.

Candidates belonging to Kerala Scheduled Caste (KSC) and Kerala Scheduled Tribes (KST) are eligible for applying if they have minimum pass marks in the qualifying examination. SEBC candidates of Kerala State belonging to non-creamy layer category are eligible for 5% relaxation in minimum required marks for the qualifying examination.

B.Tech Lateral Entry

Minimum qualification required for B.LET. – B.Tech. Lateral Entry Programmes:

• Any three-year Diploma in Engineering / Technology awarded by a Board of Technical Education recognised by the Department of Technical Education, Government of Kerala, with not less than 60% marks.

Candidates belonging to Kerala Scheduled Caste (KSC) and Kerala Scheduled Tribes (KST) are eligible for applying if they have minimum pass marks in the qualifying examination. SEBC candidates of Kerala State belonging to the non-creamy layer category are eligible for 5% relaxation in the minimum required marks for the qualifying examination.
