Admission Details
The admission is through the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) and JEE Mains examination, and subject to rules and norms as framed by the West Bengal Government and All India Council for Technical Education.
Admission in first-year B.Tech courses is done through the counseling process conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB). A candidate needs to secure a rank in either WBJEE or JEE to attain counseling conducted by WBJEEB.
Eligibility Criteria
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to a reserved category) in the above subjects. OR Passed the Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in candidates belonging to the reserved category), subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
