sorry to say most of the colleges under cusat of strem eee, ece, and mechanical has fills by with in rank 6000. so it is really difficult to get those stream as per your score. but every year cutoff changes and it depends on number of candidates are

With 1629 rank in CUSAT CAT, you have less chance to get Safety and Fire Engineering.
You can get any branch except Safety and Fire Engineering and Computer Science.
You can go for ECE, IT, EE, ME based on your interest and preferences.

The spot admission date under NRI quota for admission in MFSC in college under the Cusat Cat entrance examination is between 21 to 26 july ...it is not clear yet.
Their is very less seat under the international quota so it was quite difficult to get admission but

For NRI admission,Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination i.e. senior secondary or any other examination equivalent to 12 years of schooling in India. Must have minimum aggregate marks of 60% or 6.75 CGPA on 10 point Scale or Equivalent Grades in all the subject of the qualifying
The recent schedule which is put up on the official website of Cochin University of Science and Technology points out that the 4th allotment list for M.Sc. CUSAT CAT exam has been released on 23.06.19 only.
