whats is criteria of ma plitical science for sc candidates because my parcentage is not greater then 45 % in bachelor degree.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 12th Mar, 2020

The aggregate criteria for all Categories is one and the same. According to the e-prospectus https://jnu.ac.in/admission/e-prospectus-2020-21.pdf, you should have completed your Bachelor's degree in a 10+2+3 format with a minimum aggregate of 50%. It is 50% if you have Social sciences as subjects and its 55% if you studied Science and Technology disciplines. So unfortunately with 45% you are not eligible.

A few suggestions for you are as follows:

1. Books by Baylis and Smith, OP Gauba to develop your theoretical concepts.

2.  You can go for books written on Indian government and politics by Bidyut Chakravarty and Rajendra Pandey.

3.   B.R. Mehta's book on Indian Political Thought.

4.  Book written by Sushila Ramaswamy & C.L. Wayper on Classical Poitical Philosophy.

5. Save some time to go through the current affairs thoroughly.

Remember that reading is important, but the most important part is developing exceptional and coherent writing skills. Practice writing your answers. Don't forget to go through the previous year question papers of JNUEE. Also, try to read the recent debates and a basic book on Indian History.

3 fields of studies might have been asked to know about your interest and preferences of courses while pursuing your post-graduation as this degree provides a wide range of core courses in Political Science as well as key disciplinary areas of International Studies.
