You will be able to score well if your cocepts are clear in each of the subjects. The number of hours do not matter here. You need to attempt a lot of mock tests in order to acquaint yourself for the real examination. NCERT books are very good. Put in extra effort. Also, divide your day in such a manner that you are able to distribute time for all the three subjects equally. If you have any doubt, get it cleared. If you are consistent, you will be able to score well.

Start with your basics. Understand the concepts very well. Don't waste time on unnecessary things.
Focus on your target and study daily..
Solve atleast 20 questions for each subject and clarify them the next day with your faculties.
And take proper food and sleep. And don't be stressed.

first of all go through the entire syllabus for the CLAT 2019 examination and exam pattern so that you can do effective prepation.
Give mocks to know your current the level of preparation. You will come to know about your strong and weak areas and then strategise accordingly

for current affair start reading newspaper. I would recommend to read tHE HINDU newspaper. It is the most useful and important part is editorial part for improving english as well as current affairs.

Yes, it is possible that you clear the GATE examination with the preparation of one year. You can join any coaching or get the study material online for the preparation. But it all depends on how much you put in the hard work to crack the examination in first attempt.

UPESEAT exam has its difficulties in English and General Awareness while rest subjects are PCM whose level is somehow below or equal to JEE-Mains level.
now com your second question i.e how to prepare well:
you need primarily two things, knowledge of the basic concepts and how fast you can recall them. I would suggest just go through all the fundamental concepts of class 11 and 12, try to score atleast 45 out of 50 in the English+GK section and around 40 in PCM respectively which will take you around 165-170 marks and you can achieve your desired rank. Be calm during the exam and everything will fall in place.
