Hey Nk,

All the NITs and IITs have different placement statistics.

For example NIT JSR is not a top NIT but the placement of NIT JSR is awesome and better than some top NITs.

So average package of:

• NITs - 6 to 9 lakhs
• IITs- 12 to 16 lakhs
• IP

You should definitely appear for CAT 2018. Final year students can apply for CAT and other management exams Do start preparing if you have'nt already. Hope this helps.
