sir i am in 12 now and i am going to give neet 2020 so how can i study 11 syllabus in thesecoming 6 months and i am going in allen chennai .

Amy Student Expert 2nd Sep, 2019
Hello,
First study the subjects that you feel are harder for you. The NEET is getting tougher every year and one needs to excel in all the subjects to be sure of clearing it. Make a separate time table for the class 11 subjects and allot time for them daily.
With your school timing, you can come home, have lunch, take rest and then start studying from 5. Take small breaks but study till 2 everyday since your class 11 syllabus isn't perfectly done.
Give the tests of allen very very seriously. First cover the Ncert books then go for the study materials. Good luck!

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 2nd Sep, 2019
Dear Ankit, the admission notice says that all Candidates of all Groups can apply for Additional Round of Admission to NEET based courses. However the priority would be in the order of:

  • Eligible candidates fulfilling General Category criteria

I want to apply for gate exam as an obc ncl candidate but I have been living in a different state for more than 15 years can I apply as obc.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 2nd Sep, 2019
Dear Rohit, if you fall under OBC-NCL Category, hen you can apply under OBC-NCL Category. But your Caste should fall under Central OBC list. You can check that at : http://www.ncbc.nic.in/User_Panel/CentralListStateView.aspx.

So lets say if your Caste falls under OBC-NCL list, you can avail OBC reservation. But if your Caste falls under General Category, because you have a OBC NCL certificate, you can show the certificate at the time of Written Test and Personal Interview. You need to download the Certificate abd Self declaration format from http://www.iitb.ac.in/newacadhome/extrainfo.jsp, fill it up.and self attest it and upload while filling the application form.

If my father have ESIC card from last 6 months will I be eligible for esic quota in NEET UG counselling???

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 2nd Sep, 2019
Dear Ruby, there was a rule that the Employee had to be an Insurance holder for a certain period of time to be eligible for IP Quota. But now that criteria and Grouping based on Experience has been removed. Now any ward who has a valid Ward of Insurance Person Certificate is eligible to apply for IP Quota of ESIC Medical Colleges if he/she fulfills the eligibility criteria set by MCC. So even if it has been just 6 months of having the Card, if you fulfill the MCC eligibility Criteria, you can avail IP Quota in ESIC Medical Colleges.

hello, i am in general category... would 550 marks in NEET2020 would be enough to take admission in government colleges?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 2nd Sep, 2019
Dear Hrithik, for being eligible for NEET, you should have scored 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category. Now to be qualified in NEET, you should score 50 percentile of top NEET score if you belong to General Category. Now cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like no.of candidates appearing for NEET, no.of candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Let me give you an example. In 2019, the general NEET cut offs increased by 15 marks but in Tamilnadu, the cut offs went as high as 70-100 marks. UP had a cut off of 469 for General Category in State Quota and 429 for OBC under State Quota in 2018. However, in 2019, even 550 marks couldnt get a MBBS seat even in a Private Medical College. Having said that what acts in your favour is almost 75 new Medical Colleges will come up in 2020 increasing the medical seats atleast by 90,000. So if you can score atleast 550-600, you can get a GMC in State Counselling. But if you are planning for a seat in a State that you do not have a domicile of, you should aim for nothing less than 650.

I want to take a bds seat in tomo riba institute of health and medical sciences so what is the marks for a general category student (UR) ?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 2nd Sep, 2019
TRIHMS has only MBBS course. It is a Medical College and not a Dental College. In 2019, under State Quota after Round 2, a score of 371 secured a seat in TRIHMS under General Category. For now that has been the cut off. If you plan on appearing for NEET 2020 and take admission next year, your target should be nothing less than 500 because cut offs chamge everybyear and depends on various factors like no.of candidates appearing for the exams, no.of candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam.
