You can see the placement of NIT calicut for civil is approx 50%. So don't think about placement for Civil, you can start preparation for gate.

I would suggest you to contact the admission cell of the college as they will tell you the exact information about the fees quesies. Generally they take Demand draft but Different college has different procedure. So to get the exact information contact the college.

Overall the university is fine but you can try someother college if you have another option in hand and to get scholarship check the eligibilty creiteria for getting the scholarship and try to contact the college for the same.

If we go by last year's cut off for ECE at Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology which as 9366 for General category, you won't get a seat in the said college.
However, based on your rank, you might get admission in some of the following institutes

nope there is no extra fee for that, sliding round is just for fill up the vacant seats of students who withdrawal there seats till 3rd round, there are basically 2 conditions for taking part in sliding round:
