Sir/Mam My 10/12/graduation mark is 80%,63%and 89% respectively if I perform well in Cat and gdpi can I get IIM Kozhikode?pls help me

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 10th Sep, 2019
Dear Deepan, in 2018, the cut offs for shortlisting for IIM-K for various Categories are as follows:

CAT Score Sectional       X Class    XII Class
Percentile Percentile    %           %
GEN 90 80       60 60
OBC NC 80 70      60 60
SC 65 50     55 55
ST/PWD 55 40     55 55

Now those Candidates who have selected IIM-K and fulfil this criteria should register themselves. Only successfully registered Candidates will be shortlisted for further rounds which are WAT and PI based on Aggregate Index Score. The Aggregate Index score os calculated as follows:

CAT 2020 Index Score: 75%
Class XII Percentage: 20%
Academic Diversity Factor: 5%

And the final Composite score is calculated as follows:

CAT 2020 Index Score: 40%
PI: 30%
Essay: 20%
Resume: 10%

So if you can manage to get 99% in CAT and do well in WAT and PI, you can get a seat in IIM-K

I cleared ULSAT exam and i was called for GDPI process, but i didnt do well in GDPI. Will i be able to get admission in UPES.

Purnima Student Expert 18th Jun, 2019

Hello Aspirant!

As a part of ULSAT 19 counseling, the university conducts a group discussion and personal interview round. Candidates who qualify this are called for the final round of counseling and admission procedure thereafter.

As you have mentioned that you could not perform well in GD-PI round, there are still chances of getting admission there.

Past year experiences have shown that if a candidate performs well in the exam but is unable to to do well in the GD-PI , still he or she is considered for the admissions. Also it has been noticed that if there are vacant seats available with the university, then too admissions are offered irrespective of the performance in GD-PI but the first condition holds. Both the situations are practical enough to happen and increases your good chances of admission.

Hope this helps. All the best!

I have qualified upes dehradun entrance exam .Now its time for GDPI. pls anyone help what they can Ask in GDPI is it very tough aur normal

Priyasha Thapa 31st May, 2019

Hello

Gdpi is kind of a personal interview. It is not tough . It's more like self awareness. You should have basic etiquette of how to talk and express yourself. Your confidence and your set of communication skills will definitely increase or decrease your chances of getting selected. You may be asked to tell your favourite place from your home town or some visiting places at your hometown. They can also ask some general questions regarding elections as it is the trending topic right now. But be confident enough even when you don't know the answer just tell them the truth. Do not take help of lies.

Jaypee vs SRM vs LNMIIT which is better?

Aryan 26th May, 2019

Hey Aryan, Congratulations on scoring very good ranks in all exams. LNMIIT is best out of that but I would personally suggest you make the college selection on the basis of JEE MAINS RANK. Because by that you can get a seat in good colleges too like Thapar Engineering College and really that will be very helpful to you. I would suggest you check various colleges and explore various colleges and choose the best one for you.

If you want admission in other colleges on the basis of JEE Mains Marks you can choose JEE MAIN PREDICTOR as being provided by Careers 360 only at a very nominal price. You will be provided with all the details of the colleges with the best branch. You can use that it is really very good and you can check and explore various colleges and choose the best college. It will even provide you with your ranks in your respective Category.

which college is best for engineering SRM or AMRITA in faculty, academics, infrastructure, hostels, placements point of view

Arnab Ghosh 19th May, 2019
Hi Suraj,
Look those colleges comes under lower Tier 2 colleges. If you are getting SRM KTR & also CSE, IT & Software Engineering stream, then KTR is best. Otherwise comparing with SRM's other campuses, then their will be nothing difference between those two. Try to be in the top 20% students in your class, then you can grab a good placement above 6 Lacs.

Although is aspects of other things, Hostels will be very good but very strict. Infrastructure is great of SRM KTRA, faculty members are also good.
