CAT stands for Common Admission Test meant for MBA ,mostly IIMS and some other colleges like MDI,NITEE,XIMB,SPJAIN etc.
The exam consist of 3 sections i.e Verbal Ability,Quantitative Ability and Data Inerpretation & Logical resaoning.The total quersions are 100 with each question carrying 3 marks and a negative of

yes as it is mentioned everywhere jee mains strictly follows its syllabus. however most of the questions will be based upon the application of concepts which are mentioned in the syllabus. if a question is out of the syllabus then you have the option to challenge it.
