I want to be aeronautical engineer and am in 10th std now what should i do further

Neha Tolia 30th Mar, 2019
Hello aspirant,
For becoming an aeronautical Engineer you have to choose physics, chemistry and mathematics in class eleventh and after twelth you have to do bachelor's degree program, usually in aerospace or aeronautical engineering, that has been approved by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). Programs can take 4-5 years to complete.
Hope your doubts are clear now.
Good luck.

Eligibility for aeronautical engineering

Gautam Manohar 30th Mar, 2019

Hey buddy , In India several universities including the IITs offer courses in aeronautical engineering. The basic eligibility criteria for BE or B.Tech program is 10+2 Science with Physics, Chemistry and Maths and with a fairly high percentage of marks in the aggregate like around 70 percentage for most institutes with relaxation for SC/ST/OBC , and the institutes may have their own or accept common entrance test. Good luck

I also 10 thpassed 48% in diploma passed 70%elgibility for aeronautical engineering

Gautam Manohar 30th Mar, 2019

Hey there buddy , could you please frame your question better ? But yeah if you mean the eligibility for aeronautical engineering , most colleges expect the eligibility to be 70 percentage aggregate in science.but yeah if you have any category reservation , there may be relaxation in the criteria .Good luck

What is the difference between aeronautical engineering and aircraft maintaince engineering. Which cource is do first for better opportunity

Blah blah 28th Mar, 2019

Vishnu,

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) is a four- year license program which is regulated by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Govt. of India. In total time period, two-year academic course and two-year training are included. At the time of training,a stipend of 20K to 30K per month is given by the airline where candidate pursue our training. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) is responsible for the safety, security, and, maintenance of an aircraft. AME is only one is to authorized the Flight Releasing Certificate (FRC). AME is very hottest career in Indian aviation sector. The scope of AME is good in Indian as well as Foreign airlines. The salary of AME is 6 to 10 lakhs per annum for freshers.

About Aeronautical Engineer

The work of Aeronautical Engineering is to design an aircraft. They are involved primarily in designing aircraft and propulsion system and in studying the aerodynamic performance of aircraft and construction material. Aeronautical Engineering is four-year degree course and the scope of Aeronautical Engineering in India is not so good. But the scope and salary of Aeronautical Engineers in Foreign is good. The salary of an aeronautical engineer is 6 lakh to 7 lakh per anum.

As we know in India is not good in manufacture an aircraft. that’s why the demand of aeronautical engineer is yet not so good. But Aircraft Maintenance Engineers requirement is high because the work is on daily basis. They are also highly paid in aviation.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Admission

For pursing Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Course candidate must fill it's entrance exam

link is https://www.amecet.in/aircraft-maintenance-engineering-common-entrance-test-amecet-exam.php

AME CET 2019 is the national level common entrance test to get admission in DGCA approved AME institute.Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Common Entrance Exam is a single window solution to get admission in AME institute.

Aditya Sharma Student Expert 28th Mar, 2019

Hey Shashidhar.

See right now it is difficult to tell u whether u will get any college or not as u have been provided with percentile score in ur shift only and that too in ur slot only. About aeronautical engineering it is much good in the IITs so focus on ur JEE ADVANCED if u are serious for that. Wait until the NTA releases the final result of JEE MAINS.

Hope u got ur point. Ask if any query.

Good luck

Is sastra good for aeronautical engineering

Himanshu Student Expert 7th May, 2019

Hii,do not worry i will help you according to your query.Aerospace Engineering branch is one of newly established branches in SASTRA. Currently this branch has developed good Infrastructural facility with well equipped labs. Labs include Aerodynamics(low and high speed) Lab, Gas dynamics Lab, structures and Propulsion Lab.

As an Aerospace engineering we have some good Faculty with M.Tech, Phd Degree from IITs. Aerospace department is growing very fast in Teaching as well as in Research and consultancy. Govt organisations and also they argoing for higher studies in IITs and abroad through GATE and GRE. Aerospace department has been engaged in collaborative research with council for scientific and industrial research, defence research and development organisation.

Hope, this information will helpful for you.Goodluck for your future.

Which is a good carrer option - Automobile engineering or Aeronautical engineering?

dhameerbhatia31_7970609 Student Expert 26th Mar, 2019

Hello Deepak Yadav,

They can't be compared.

Automobile and aeronautical can be related to with two subjects in detail which would be Aerodynamics and propulsion.

Well you have to figure out which engineering calls out for you more. If you're interested in automobile designing, modelling and you interest in High speed racing car models, well you could go for automobile engineering.

If you call out for the design, mechanics and principles of how and what of an aircraft, then aeronautical is your choice.

Well, for sure, both of these are extremely popular and difficult fields of study. And yes, few people opt for them owing to the level of difficulty.

Thanku.

What is the srmjee cutoff marks in previous years for automobile engineering and aeronautical engineering

Subham Prajapati 26th Mar, 2019
Hiiii Deepak,

Automobile engineering is a part of Mechanical Engineering. Automobile Engineering is a four-year full-time course.  Out of all the SRM colleges, Automobile Engineering is available only in SRM Chennai campus and SRM NCR Campus, Ghaziabad.

The SRMJEE closing cut off rank for Automobile Engineering at SRM Chennai is around 55000. The authorities of SRMJEE don't reveal the marks but rather select you on the basis of rank. But as far as I know, if you score around 120 out of 315, you can surely get into Automobile Engineering at SRM Chennai main campus.

The SRMJEE closing cut off rank for Automobile Engineering at SRM NCR Campus, Ghaziabad is around 70000. The authorities of SRMJEE don't reveal the marks but rather select you on the basis of rank. But as far as I know, if you score above 100-105 out of 315, you can surely get into Automobile Engineering at SRM NCR, Ghaziabad campus.

Aeronautical Engineering is a four-year full-time course.  Out of all the SRM colleges, Automobile Engineering is available only in SRM Chennai campus.

The SRMJEE closing cut off rank for Aeronautical Engineering at SRM Chennai is around 52000. There is not much difference in the closing cutoff rank and marks obtained in SRMJEE in case of Automobile and Aeronautical Engineering. There is just a difference of approximately 3000 ranks which will correspond to nearly a variation of 5-6 marks. The authorities of SRMJEE don't reveal the marks but rather select you on the basis of rank. But as far as I know, if you score around 120-125 out of 315, you can surely get into Aeronautical Engineering at SRM Chennai main campus.

I hope the above information about SRMJEE cutoff was helpful. For any other query, feel free to contact anytime.
