Both the branches are almost same. 1st and almost 2nd year is entirely same for both the branches however aerospace deals with outer space also so you will have to learn a bit more in this branch though it's all up to you which branch you wanna choose

I would like to inform you that aerospace engg are available in around 6 IIT's but the most famous IIT's for aero space engg are IIT Kharagpur and IIT BOmbay.

By far IIT kharagpur and IIT Bombay are considered the best aeronautics
