Hello student ,

So basically AIQ is for all the NEET candidates who wants medical seat in any part of India and State quota is for those students who wants to get a medical seat in their own state irrespective of whether it is private or government .

The seats of all the Government Medical and Dental Colleges in India through NEET are divided into two quotas namely -

All India Quota(15%) and State Quota(85%).

This means 15% of the total seats available in the Government Medical Colleges and Dental Colleges are under the All India Quota which is also known as the Central Pool. The counseling for such seats are conducted by Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). The counseling for remaining 85% seats are conducted by the respective State authorities.

Also, for the 15% All India Quota seats, all the candidates who appeared in NEET UG 2021 and qualified the exam are eligible to participate in the counseling process whereas for 85% State Quota seats, the candidates are also required to fulfill the domicile criteria as laid down by the authority responsible for the NEET counselling of a particular state.

Neet UG 2021 Rank 219007..380 marks ..OBC Category..are there any chances of getting MBBS seat in government medical college through all India counselling

samruddhiphadatare01 16th Nov, 2021

Hello,

The chances of getting AIQ seats are low. As according to cutoff each year the marks are above 500 minimum for AIQ seats. You can try for state quota seats in punjab for MBBS private.

Hey. Aspirant...

The following is a list of various government medical colleges in Odisha, along with their respective cut-offs for admission under the State quota for general admission. As a result, based on your ranking, you don't appear to have much of a chance at government colleges. The chances of getting into a government college under the All India Quota are also slim. I got 455 marks in neet (obc) with rank128039 can u suggest me the colleges for..all india counselling

swagatabhowmick13 7th Nov, 2021
Dear candidate, your rank is not sufficient for getting a government MBBS college in all indian counselling. There are few dental colleges in your state Telangana under government quota where you can apply (obc quota) :

  • BALAJI DENTAL COLLEGE, MOINABAD
  • GOVT DENTAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL, HYDERABAD
  • KAMINENI INST OF DENTAL SCI, NARKETPALLY

You can always opt for private MBBS college and deemed universities if BDS is not your choice. For further reference you can use NEET College Predictor tool to check your other chances for MBBS, BDS & Ayush Courses.

my all india rank is 15k and my general category rank in 6k....which one will be considered for all india counselling and state counseling ??

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 3rd Nov, 2021

Hi

In Neet examination your AIR i. e all India rank is considered for admission and not category rank dear in both all india counselling and state counselling

Your profile suggests that your domicile state is west Bengal

It's quite difficult to predict because cut off keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

But when we go through previous data then it suggests that,

>>>>>>  with 15k AIR ,

You hold very good chance to get mbbs seat in a Government Medical College

For example,

In Neet 2020,  for mbbs  seat in Government Medical College under west Bengal state quota for general category  36907 was closing AIR rank and it was for COOCHBEHAR GOVT MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL

You can check the same at

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-west-bengal
