Hello Yathiskumar,
Electrical and Computer Engineering is a good branch of engineering that is culmination of curriculum of both electrical and computer science. However, in India, you'll mostly land up in jobs related to IT / CSE only.

You should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent securing an aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with not less than 55% in each of these three subjects.
Admission Process:
The average salary for this branch in Amrita Coimbatore goes to 4 LPA (approx). For more information on the same, visit: https://www.careers360.com/colleges/amrita-school-of-engineering-coimbatore/btech-electrical-and-computer-engineering-course
Hi aspirant,
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham currently ranks 4th in the university rankings and 16th in engineering which is not possible without the performance of all its campuses. All its campuses try to achieve excellence in education and academic field so there is not much of a difference considering that aspect but in terms of placements, companies are slightly inclined to the parent campus followed by the newer ones. However this is limited to average packages only as the placement percentages are almost similar. Hence considering all the factors the preference order is numbered below:
Hope it helps!!
Congratulations on your new journey at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. The first semester of engineering is the shortest one with comparatively less syllabus. Each semester at the institution has not more than 85 teaching/instructional day excluding two periodic assessment and one final assessment days.
The total weightage and credits are splitted between these three exams which also includes quizzes, assignments and projects.
I am sorry to inform you that you will not get any seat in any branch at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore with the mentioned percentile in JEE main. The cutoffs for the courses are quite high for the institution as only 30 percent of the total seats available are filled through this mode. The cutoffs are as high as 97 percentile for CSE and close to 90-91 for Civil engineering.
Hi Sai,
Hope you're doing well. All the campuses of Amrita University are good but among all of them the Coimbatore campus is the best in terms of infrastructure and also campus life.
It is always advisable that before choosing college you choose the engineering branch that appeals to you the most. That is do not think of campus but select based on whether you like ECE or CSE.
However, if you do not have any preference as such, it is recommended that you go with the Coimbatore campus.
See if you want to compare between this two courses then I would recommend you to go for ECE. We know CCE is a computer science correlated course but let me tell you at the end the CSE one's will be more preferred in placements. But if you go for ECE then you will get both the opennings of IT and ECE which gives you more possibility to get selected. Now its your matter and based on your interest you can go for the course but as per the number of options and possibilities I think ECE will be better.
