By a notification from UGC it has been asked to all universities to treat applied Mathematics at par with core mathematics in calculating of aggregate marks of senior secondary level for admission in Bcom Hons, economics,and social science course other than BSc courses.

CBSE board requested to take applied mathematics at par with the existing Mathematics course of CBSE for admission to higher studies in courses other than engineering, wait for new guidelines regarding this if college change their admission Criteria,they update their eligibilty Criteria.for now this is the eligibililty Criteria which consider for admission as follows
Mandatory subjects are english and pure Mathematics/Business Mathematics/Statistics and candidate must have passed in all subjects as per the respective board/council pass marks with any other two subjects. aggregate must be more than 60 Percent in all four subjects.

The eligibility for NDA( National defence academy) the candidate should have passed class 12th examination in the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent with physics and mathematics conducted by a state education.
Dear, Yes you can apply for NDA with applied mathematics because their not be a problem for writing the Exam.You only just need to study Maths from the exam point of view.

Hi, yes mathematics will be included in best 4 for DU admissions. and yes student who took up applied sciences is eligible for B. Com (//B.Com) hons and ECO hons. Every university or college accepts mathematics for B.Com Oxford university accepts too. Below is the link to an article about eligibility criteria for B.Com (//B.Com) hons. Maths is compulsory for any college in DU for economics. For B.Com (//B.Com) you need to have 50% + in your board exams. Hope this helps.
