Yes ,you can do BCA , it doesn't matter even if you are commerce student in 12th.
This is because ,
Students with 10+2 in any stream/subjects are eligible for BCA .
For your reference,
BCA eligibility criteria is given below:-

And in general at least 50 % marks in 12th is required.

Both are good courses to study and will be finished in three years. BCA will lead you to a software engineer and BBA will lead you to become a Business company jobs.
Also while doing BCA, do projects and internships in better companies provided that you have to be familiar with the new trends in computer science. And you have to be updated all the time. Select electives like Data Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Python Programming ( with few libraries like Tensor flow, Keras etc.), DevOps, and AWS architecture.
