Comparing both KNIT Sultanpur and SMVDU Katra for Computer Science and Engineering, I would suggest you to prefer KNIT Sultanpur. Also it depends on your rank. The priority is like KNIT>SMVDU. KNIT is affiliated to AKTU and the faculties are very well educated. Also you can expect better
For the placement puroposes go for computer sciences the starting packages are huge.

If you are satified with your seat and college then you don't need to participate in spot round.
Or if you are interested in spot round and you want to join better college or you want to change your branch then you can participate

mechanical engineering
electrical engineering
electronics and communication engineering
you just need to be a engineering graduate irrespective of your branch you can choose any of these four
