Other tha JEE there is one entrance examination for IP university you have to give ipu - cet entrance exams for biotech and btech separately as their applications are seperately filled in IPU admission portal.

you need to have biology as a compulsory subject for pursuing biotechnology. But the criteria may differ from college to college. Some may ask for maths as an additional subject but not compulsory. But, I think you can get into biotechnology course without mathematics as your 10+2 subject.

Yes, there is a scope of government sector jobs after completion of a masters degree in microbiology or biotechnology. Many government organizations like FCI (Food Corporation of India), SRF, JRF, Technical Assistant, Quality Assistant etc. to name a few.
