Thats a good score and you can get many good colleges in and around Tamil Nadu. Though the general cutoff for several colleges are high you can check community cutoff in TNEA website. I think you might get colleges like , Rajalakshmi college of engineering , Sairam College

First of all, to clarify your doubt, you need to know that there isn't only 1 IIT/BITS. Currently there are 23 IITs and 3 BITS colleges in our country. So you can't just randomly compare the 2 tags.

Hey, i would suggest the latter. Because just going for the iit tag name would mean nothing if the course is not relevant enough. Eventualy you will still be an iit graduate but without a job. Take up more relevant stuff from other good colleges. UNLESS you want to do
