Congratulations to your friend for securing such great colleges. so if you want to compare the colleges then NIT Calicut will be a better option than BITS goa, because of following reasons:

1. NIT Calicut is a government college and BITS Goa is a private college and the value for Government college is much more than a private college.

2. BITS Goa cannot be considered a good college because of its newer campus the placement records are not upto the mark. Where as NIT has a great placement record.

So Now I leave the decision to you and your friend

Is it likely good but the bits bits pilani is best option. You can consider bits Goa as second campus of that college. Also bits Goa is also very valuable cause it gives good placement and academics record. But bits pilani is best for its the main campus to be considered and has good ranking. 

Bits Goa is not as valuable as pilani.

both BITS and IIT hydrabad are are premier engineering institutes in india, IIT is way better in terms of teaching, placement and value. you must go for iit without a second thought.

I would like to inform you that cutoff for Computer science and engineering in Bits GOA was 361 for the year 2018, so it gives a clear idea that you need to score at least 15 marks more than previous year in order to be in a safer zone. Good luck for your college.

Congratulations on getting such good marks. Yes I think you will be eligible for BITS Hyderabad for CSE but I doubt that you will get a seat in Goa. You can although get other branches in Goa very easily and some branches in Pilani too. I hope this information was helpful!

No, there isn't mechatronics or robotics elective in BITS Pilani. If you're interested in it, you can fo your B.E in either Electrical and Electronics Engineering or in Mechanical Engineering. And then, later on, you can do masters in robotics or mechatronics.
